The engine cover is a one-piece pressed unit made of 32 mm thick steel and special guards protect the easily hit rear corners. With their rugged side protectors, these mini excavators are protected from damage even under the toughest work conditions. The bucket cylinder hoses run through the arm, guarding the hoses from damage.

The buckets on the 28J have easy-to-handle ring pins that stay firmly attached, along with 0-ring seals preventing wear to the pins. The 35J and 55J are equipped with a bucket backlash adjustment mechanism to adjust backlash by removing a shim and turning a bolt. Both models also have wear preventing 0-ring seals for the bucket pins that provide excellent wear resistance and easily replaceable conical teeth.
